This was another beer that I ordered on Tavour late last year as I never had anything from Heathen before. Sure, I was drawn in by the label but this sounded interesting and indeed, that was the case as this had a lot going for it once it fully warmed up.
Quite a heavy, pulpy pour to this as it had the hue that one would expect from a beer containing peach and cranberry. Very little head topped this off as that quickly settled, as there was even less lacing to be seen. What remained was a sheen that coated the glass as it had the appearance of frosted glass. Loads of cranberry, tangerine, and blood orange in the nose along with some funky fruit patch as the peach, apricot, stone fruit, guava, and pulpy fruit residue came through in the taste.
The carbonation was light, but sufficient enough to scrub my palate as the alcohol was nearly undetectable. No date was written on the bottom of the can although this held up well since I got the order right around Thanksgiving. The label said that this had sea salt in it and that might have been what made this brew so appealing, and in the end, so balanced. More juice than beer, this was just as colorful as the apt hues and design on the can led me to believe!
