Must be one of the last legs, but seemed extremely fresh. Golden orange color. Earthy and piney. A fair amount of fruit and citrus. Mango and papaya. Easy drinking. Very tasty! Well done.

Hazy deep gold body and a long lasting soapy lacy white head.

Aroma has a bright pungent citrus character about it. Mandarin orange and tangerine.

Taste is orange and tangerine centric as well with some underlying resin.

Mild bitterness. Has some sweetness to it. Carbonation is somewhat light and body lighter side of medium.

I have had this a few times now, at most the usual spots in Houston.

A: Pours a deep hazed golden/orange color. A one finger of white soapy film forms, but recedes in a instant. Not much lace to speak of.
S: A big fruity punch up front and center. Like cutting into a tangerine. The juicy, fruity hops are the entire show, and really enticing.
T: Like the nose, big on the juicy fruity hops. Tangerine, orange and citrus are the big hitters. Also and sugary sweetness comes into play. Almost as I think the flavor is going to fade away, a bitterness jumps out of nowhere and lingers for a minute.
M/D: A medium body with low to moderate carbonation. I wish there was just a little more snap or effervescence here. Not hard to put away at all. I have had several with ease.

A very good IPA/Pale Ale, maybe not superb. Still, something that is enjoyable to drink when out and about in Houston.

Appearance: Looks almost like a cask ale as it arrives with a thin layer of soap bubbles sitting on top of the cloudy amber liquid; leaves a few strands behind

Smell: Very citrusy with a strong sense of tangerine

Taste: The malt brings a biscuity sweetness that is only slightly discernible as it serves as a backdrop for the citrusy hops; tangerine dominates, though there are some other tropical elements such as pineapple and kiwi

Mouthfeel: Medium body with low carbonation

Overall: Subtle and citrusy, I really like this one

On tap, pours a hazy yellow, very similar in color to Yellow Rose. Holy crap, I was blown away by this beer. The nose was heavy on citrus components, especially blueberry, grapefruit and kiwi. The taste was also pretty citrusy, with a lot of bite from the hops and a medium body from the carbonation. All in all, I think the best way to describe this beer is Yellow Rose with a bit more citrus flavor...kind of like Yellow Rose's big brother. I really hope I get to drink again ASAP.
