On tap at Hay Merchant in Houston.
A: Pours a beautiful hazed golden/orange color. A two finger bubbly white head forms with good retention initially. That recedes to nothing in no time, though good lace is left behind.
S: Big hops up front. Citrus, orange and grapefruit. Grassy and floral hops come next. A bit of grainy, cracker like biscuit malts. A light lingering bitterness.
T: Again, big hops up front and are the entire show. Citrus, mango and grapefruit are big with a substantial but not overwhelming bitterness. Some biscuit like malts intermingles as well. Very nice.
M/D: A light to medium body with a near perfect amount of carbonation. So crisp, effervescent and dry. Easily all day with this one. Really enjoyable.
All the "session IPA" detractors need to try this (I am not a fan of the term either). Though there is nothing thin, or unsubstantial here. Great hop flavor and not just bitterness. Maybe my favorite from Lone Pint.
