On tap at D&T Drive Inn, Houston. Seriously, I have not found any information on what hop this is. Nothing from Lone Pint's website, Facebook page, or any other social media site that I can find. So I just have to go on my own judgment of what this actually tastes like, I know, the horror :)
A: Pours with a hazed orange/yellow color. A one finger white head forms, and sticks throughout. Light lace is left behind.
S: Up front is orange peal and bitter grapefruit resin. Malts show up strong in the middle, with a bit of caramel sweetness. Finishes bitter, but not over the top in anyway. Very balanced and enjoyable.
T: Dank hops, orange peal, grapefruit up front and center. A sharp bitterness takes over for a second, but calms down once you get used to it. Carmel malts that add a bit of sweetness in the middle, but finishes with a dry bitterness. Which is not overbearing at all, and really enjoyable.
M/O: A medium body with crisp carbonation. After a minute the carbonation really smooths out. So enjoyable and easy to drink. Multiple pints can be had easily.
A great hop character with a sharp bitterness up front, but at the same time balanced overall. At this time there is not a lot of information on the Hop that is used, and I get a little annoyed when I don't have all the information. Though saying that, this is a really well made IPA, and among the better Lone Pint Zythopphile series I have had. Recommended.
