Had this beer poured from tap at the brewery. Served in a tall snifter. Golden brownish yellow color with good head and lacing. Fruity fine smell and taste. Citrus, tangerine and some toffee. A bit sweet upfront and a pleasant sharpness at the back end. It become a bit herbal as it warms, a hint of mint. A tad thin for a barleywine but overall a very nice beer. Bought a couple bottles to take home.

Looks like a strong malty brew. Smells like spicy tangerine and an citrus. Taste is strong with some sharp bitterness that lingers on the tongue. It’s mouthfeel is very different and sips are preferred. Overall an odd brew but overall a fair brew to check out. Craft it is. At What’s On Tap, NRH.

Poured from bottle into tulip, nice 1+ finger off-white head great retention and lacing. Amberish golden in the glass, clear to look at with slight chill haze. Lots going on with the nose, getting caramel, coconut, citrus and pineapple. Taste is well WTF nice and unexpected, thought the coconut coming thru might be byproduct of oak barrel, but lo and behold this beer has dry hopped with Sabro (nice). For the style it drinks bright vs heavy, hops are big on the front end with pineapple, and coconut being the predominate force and a bit of caramel sweetness thru the middle and the finish with some vanillin from the oak smoothing things out. Finish leaves you mouth in a tropical place. Alcohol is hidden very well, this is a pleasure to drink and am going to have to go out and chase more of this down

Appearance: Pours a clear light amber color with a thin head that fades to a ringlet; dottty lacing
Smell: Resinous orange hops mingle with toffee tones; there is just a hint of fusel alcohol
Taste: Toffee malt flavors forward with a resinous orange bitterness emerging; the fusel alcohol flavors emerge, after the swallow, and I am getting some acetone on the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation; plenty of warmth in the gullet - surprising for the ABV
Overall: Really disappointed in this as I have enjoyed Lone Pint's IPAs on my travels to Houston; this concept sounded really intriguing but it never comes together as it tasted more like a hoppy malt liquor rather than a barleywine

Pour is a deep burnt orange / amber. crystal clear. loose half finger of off white / light beige head. a bit of lacing.
Nose is hints of pine, resin, a touch of coconut. bright orange zest, oak, light tannins
Taste is burnt caramel, toffee, toasted malt, oak, firm bitterness, orange, pine resinous hop character. hint of coconut / vanilla. Dry finish. Coconuty Sabro hops become more present as it warms
great beer with a lot of flavors wonderfully blended together. nothing dominates.

Really good beer. Great balance between the barley wine and the IPA. Subtle hints of wood barrel. Wishing this one wasnt a one off, so I could buy it when the mood strikes.
