Double Yellow Rose has a thick, off-white head and a completely opaque orange appearance, with moderate lacing. The aroma is of orange peel, oranges, and white bread crust. The flavor is similar, with lots of sweetness and bitterness. Double Yellow Rose has a heavy body and a semi-sweet finish.

Cakey pineapple nose on this hazy-looking beer. Taste is juicy and sweet, hoppy enough, and balanced so not cloying as some may expect. Not the biggest fan of the mosaic hop out of them all, although this is highly drinkable considering its abv. Fruity for sure with pineapple and oranges, but a dank balance occurs with some piney woods hints. Goes right down. Tasty. I have to add again, balanced. If you like DIPAs balanced, this is one of them.

Had Double Yellow Rose poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped "CAN DATE 11/27/23," into tulip pint.
Pours cloudy gold with 1/2-finger, creamy off-white head, with excellent retention, leaving thick rings of lace down the glass. Aromas of sweet citrus and mild pilsner malt off pour, then pineapple and lime aromas, and aromas of berries and peach as warms. On tasting, begins with a little pine and a lot of sweet citrus and tangy tropical fruit, then more biting lime and some herbal dankness, carrying over definitely there mild pilsner malt, and into a neutral citrus, clean pine, big, biting finish.
Looking back at my review of OG Yellow Rose, I concluded it is not a big enough beer to be great. Whatever the inanity of that opinion, this is.

A: Pours with a substantial haze, that doesn't get to the NEIPA murkiness though. A dense white head forms with excellent retention and lace left behind as the foam gently recedes.
S: A big and pungent fruity aroma up front. That goes from pineapple, melons, to citrus and some berries. This is a fruit salad.
T: That fruity/juicy hoppiness up front again. Pineapple and melons are most apparent for me, but generally has that fruit salad flavor. All the fruits gives this more of a sticky sweetness, and I would like for a bit more bitterness in the finish.
M/O: A medium to full body that has crisp carbonation at first. That becomes much smoother as this breaths, but becomes chewy and sticky sweet. The alcohol is noticeable, and this is a slower sipper than I would like.
I do enjoy this, as I am a fan of regular Yellow Rose as well. Though the sweetness mixed with the alcohol burn keeps this from being really great for me. I can see why others like this, but I'd rather just have a regular Yellow Rose as it is more balanced.

Pours a deeper golden yellow and a bit hazier than regular Yellow Rose with a chalky white head that leaves lots of lacing.
Nose is pine, citrus, and dank.
Taste is the same with pine, citrus and dank.
Maybe a little more carbonation than I would prefer, but the alcohol is nicely balanced with the malt.
I’m a big fan of Yellow Rose and I love that there is a double available now!

It’s big, you know? Like, it clocks in hot and heavy at 10%, and it lets you know that it’s there. That being said, to the Raul man, it’s Robert Wadlow big. Where’s the balance? It’s the guy that made the varsity basketball team only because he’s tall. That said, I’m sure homie still had an ok date to prom. And DDH Yellow Rose is like that - a dude that may not be the talk of the town, but he still has a girl. Which is nice.
Sleep tight, my minions.

Pours a very cloudy opaque golden yellow color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is good. Lacing is excellent. Citrus and piney aroma. Citrus and bitter piney spruce. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Found it!! Canned 11/16/22 The Double pours pretty flat, no head to speak of. Smells like Yellow rose maybe a touch stronger in the citrus. Looks like pineapple orange juice. Taste is citrus, pine but not too hoppy nor bitter. Pretty smooth and easy drinking for an IPA lover. I like it and will be shopping for it in the future "2023". Was pleased to find the last 4 pack at a store that specializes in craft beers and will be tapping a keg next week or so. Thanks Bru-City!!

Canned 12/16. Drank 12/21
Pour is hazier and, a bit more deep golden tha the yellow is single yellow rose. Still has a wonderful thick chalk white head that lasts.
Nose is berries, pine, citrus rind, dank. Huge, lasting aroma.
Taste follows. Huge hit of berries. Pine, grapefruit rind, dank. Nice firm bitterness, nicely balanced against a soft bready malt character.
Very drinkable at 10%.
