Black India Pale Ales combine hoppiness with roasty-ness. When done well, the beer is very unique, sharing the quaffablity of a porter or dry stout with the hoppy zing of an IPA. Embrace and partake of the hoppy darkness.

Malt: Pilsner, carafa III, C60, and chocolate wheat
Hops: Columbus, Amarillo, and Simcoe
Yeast: House
Release Date: February 2025

Pours as expected with a fantastic aroma full of roasty, piney, grapefruit citrus notes. Sip follows with a moderate bitterness on the finish. It’s everything I want and then some.
It's been two months since I had this and I'm still thinking about it.

Brewer's Select Black IPA has a thick, creamy, beige head and a very dark-brown appearance, with heavy lacing. The aroma is of dark bread crust. It has a similar flavor, with piney hop resin and a touch of citrus. There is strong bitterness and subdued sweetness. Brewer's Select Black IPA has a medium body and a dry finish.

Black pour with subtle amber highlights, creamy and fluffy mocha head, generous mocha lace. Nose is pine and coco

Taste shows hot resin bitterness (yum), coco, blackened malt, treacle, floral notes. A silky and oily mouthfeel. Finish is smoky pine cones and bakers chocolate. Grab it before it's gone.

Canned date is indecipherable, but it's a brand new release from the brewery. Can't be more than 2/15. Drank 3/5/25.
Pour is black with a big, creamy, lasting deep khaki cap of foam. Great lacing and retention.
Nose is resinous, earthy, piney hops up front, nutty, followed by a hint of dank, and citrus fruit. Hiding behind that is subtle chocolate, roasted malt notes.
Taste follows - resinous, piney, earthy hops of front, transitioning into some nutty, coffee, ashy/roasty, chocolate malt character, before finishing with a big hit of bitter hops!
Lightly creamy, smooth, easy to drink

Overall, a really enjoyable beer. Well executed black IPA. The big hop flavors really play well together with the notes from the black malt.

Looks incredible with a deep black pour and a multi-finger thick tan header.
Nose is full of hops with a nutty/ toasted caramel, and some coffee too. Not just the scent, but the scent well done.
Taste is more hops, with toasted malts and comes off like a fine black ipa.
Feels medium with low-to-mid carbonation. Slight creaminess, with a somewhat dry finish and a slight burn.
I’d get it again.
