No alcohol should never mean no flavour. Quite the opposite. Just as with Budějovický Budvar Original, we brew Free using celebrated Moravian barley for a bold, sweet, toasted malt profile, and the same Saaz hops for a lightly spiced, fresh, citrusy aroma with just a hint of bitterness. Rich, full-flavoured and always satisfying, Budějovický Budvar Free sees nothing taken away except the alcohol.

500 ml can, as Budvar Nealko, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, n/a dept. ABV is max. 0.5%. Clear golden colour, moderate to small white head. Typical industrial n/a beer aroma of wort, baby porridge and over-cooked vegetables. The flavour has some of the same elements, but is quite dry, with noticeable and somewhat metallic hops. Thin mouthfeel as expected.

Bottled and grabbed from one of the big w=supermarkets
Pours just like a proper lager
Aroma is the one area where it is let down
Flavour has a little weetabix but not much, pretty decent

Even though Budvar is a great brewery... I don't know what to say about this. This tasted like soda water, but then again you can't have high expectations from low-alcohol beer. Even then, I expected a little better from Budvar.

Copper with champagne like carbonation in abundance, clear filtered and topped with a finger of yellow tinged head.
Malt as in a cereal like quality, Sheddies in milk. Apples and skunk.
Sheddies or bran flakes in milk, apples, malt, little bitter hops on the finish.
Light body with tones of soda carbonation.
Low alcohol beers may have their time in some people's lives, but this isn't the best of them. Was glad to have found it, but nothing super awesome. Found and drank in Chiang Mai, Sept 16, 2015.
