Green glass bottle with copper foil on neck and cap, and red + gold label. .33l. Botlle is double dated with production date (18 january 2011) and minimum expiration date (1 year later) -- a brilliant system every brewer should adopt!
Consumed at restaurant in Kutná Hora, CZ.
Pours a very clear golden color, as crystalline as i,ve ever seen in a beer. The amplemcarbonation consists of fine and larger bubbles, leading up to a white frothy head of limited duration.
Aroma: A fine malty smell with a clear hop presence and hints of fine white wine and evidence of the higher ABV.
T - excellent hop/malt balance from start to finish, although ending with more hoppinees. More sweet and less bitter than the description of the brewer would lead me to expect.
M - good medium body
O - this Budvar is indeed special and easy to recommend.
