A lightly hazy yellow to golden orange depending on the background. A 1 1/2 finger whitish head from a hard pour that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves no lacing. A stream of bubbles rises from the center of my Duvel tulip, with a scattering of bubbles throughout.
Spicy and a bit citric in the aroma. Belgian yeast and the aroma of alcohol.
Light sweet malts in the taste, but tart overall. Lemony with light lemon peel. A spiciness that is somewhat clove-like. Light musty funk.
Moderate in body. Fairly drying. Not quite syrupy. Light carbonation.
Overall, a pleasing brew. Lemony with a bit of sweet malt. A nice transition beer from the IPAs of summer to the more substantial beers of winter.

Appearance: pours a golden yellow color. a one finger, white head forms and fades at a moderate rate. small lacing left behind. strong clarity and brightness.
Smell: clove and belgian candi sugar. light lemongrass to lemon bread taste. light and sweet malts.
Taste: opens with a strong dose of cloves. some wheat to grassy tasting malts. citrus comes through lightly with a lemongrass to lemon bread taste. light sweet maltiness.
Mouthfeel: light and just shy of refreshing. some lingering taste and feel.
Overall: not a bad beer at all. a bit too strong in the clove department to be well balanced and better tasting. could also use a bit more hops or lemon taste to make it more refreshing.
