It's a beer with no outstanding characteristics but it wasn't horrible. It's a beer. Wouldn't order it again, but if there was a tub of these on ice at a friend's I'd shrug and down a couple - then offer to make the next beer run and buy something else.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a shaker pint.

Pours a clear bright golden color with a finger of pure white head. Low retention and very little lacing.

The smell is pretty straightforward for a malt liquor. Bready, with lots of corn and sweet sugar water. Slightly metallic.

The flavor follows suit. Corn, sweet malts, and a ton of metallic flavors. Like a robot's dong. Not pleasant.

The feel is extremely light with moderate carbonation. Watery. Like seltzer. Gross.

Overall, an extremely piss poor beer that labels itself as an "American Ale" but is nothing of the sort. This is a straight malt liquor without the alcohol. Stay far away from this one.

Can from Bert's
Crystal clear deep golden color with a bubbly white head. Bready earthy lightly fruity with a hint of mineral water. I don't really understand what this is supposed to be. A bit sweet some alcohol, I give up.

On tap at the brewery. Sampled on December 26, 2015

They called this an American Ale but the intention, they said, was to produce a malt liquor. It pours yellow with a fizzy white head that fades.

The nose is malt, rice, and corn forward with a hint of grassy hops.

Lighter body.

This had a definite Euro-malt character in the taste but it was not cloying. Little to no bitterness at the end. It reminded me of one of the Baltika beers.
