A pretty good porter but very little reminiscence of coffee cake.

From the can, it pours a very dark brown with a nice tan head that soon diminishes to a ring. In the nose, it is coffee forward with some cinnamon behind. In the mouth, the same.

Moderate pour yields 3/4 inch light tan head over an almost black body with some sticky lacing. Head dissipates down to a ring in a few minutes. Nose of coffee first and foremost with a definite coffee cake thing going on with a bit of cinnamon and vanilla. Taste mirrors nose fairly close; with the coffee, once again, at the forefront with a finish of crumb cake!?! Nice feel and overall; yup, it's coffee cake!

Canned 10/16/18. Pours a dark hue with a thin brown head into glass. Rich roasted coffee with sweet notes reminiscent of cake. Creamy vanilla, cinnamon, toffee, cocoa and coffee upfront. Rich, luscious mouthfeel with the right touch of lingering cinnamon. True to name and I wonder if it would taste even better off of a nitro tap? Pick it up!!

Dark chocolate in a Stone Imperial pint glass with a 1F head.
Strong aroma with cinammon, coffee, and vanilla.
Medium light body.
Chocolate, coffee, vanilla taste, pastry taste( coffee cake) Flavors are best at colder temps.
Excellent approach to a Porter.

Deep, dark brown where no light passes anywhere on the glass. Lasting head which leaves a blanketing of lace.
Powdered semisweet cocoa nose. Light burnt elements but it's a mostly chocolate nose.
The taste starts like a sweeter Porter with lots of cocoa, but there's a strong cinnamon and brown sugar flavor. Full bodied with an elevated carbonation level. The finish and aftertaste lingers in a soft dessert way even though this beer isn't overly sweet.

A little thin for a porter, but tastes great. Actually kind of tastes like coffee cake. Good holiday brew.

Had this on tap at Margarita's Salem NH.
At first it taste great.....
But 1/2 way thru a pint the coy sweetness of artificial saccharin comes thru big time
