Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazed straw amber color with a small head of white foam. The head has a moderate level of retention, fading over time and leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a bready and yeasty smell along with notes of citrus of orange and tangerine. Along with these smells are notes of an herbal hop as well as some light apricot and a touch of lemongrass and grain.
Taste – The taste begins with a somewhat drier, but bready and lightly fruit sweetened taste. The fruit is a mix of orange, tangerine, and a touch of papaya and mango. There is a little bit of an herbal and grapefruit hop upfront which grows slightly stronger as the taste advances. At the same time the sweet fades while a bit of grain and hay come to the tongue, leaving one with a rather easy natured, not too hopped, and slightly more bready taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – the body is medium in thickness and chewiness with a moderate carbonation level. For the 5.0 % abv and style the feel makes for a easy drinker.
Overall - Nothing too special, but easy drinking and decently flavored. Good for a more session style brew.

603 Brewery Scenic Session IPA, 4.5% - whoa, this Grinch stole Christmas.
If you had an electric train set, you remember the smell the transformer would put out when it got really hot? Yeah, there's a note of that here. Plus, there's a strange olive oil taste in the finish. No canning date.
Steer clear of this scenic drive.

I absolutely love this beer. I live in NH and am generally a fan of 603 Brewing Company beers. This beer has a nice orange color with a bit of haziness, which I like on an IPA. The taste is better than the smell, which sometimes throws me. The flavor has a nice citrus undertone without being too strong or fruity. The hops is perfect; no bitterness at all, but enough hops to give bite and crispness. This is a really easy drinking beer and is perfect for a summer day. Well-balanced enough to serve with food.

12 oz canned on 2/5/19 opened on 2/19/19
A semi-cloudy, yellow golden color, very active appearance. Lacy white pillowy foam has good coverage and a touch of lace.
The aroma is pretty strange...the hops give off this honey/orange/corriander, mango th papaya salsa aroma that is intetesting but bazaar.Lemmon zest with creamy scented malt is unlike anything I can remember from Mosaic or Azacca hops. "Smooth citrus" is pretty close but I'm also detecting some sour sweet bread. Not sure what to make of it.
The flavor is just a strange as the nose! Some sour citrus blends with an oddly smooth and buttery malted milk balls taste. Lemmon zest and tangy wheat grains follow that. The odd flavours are just all over the map here. There is a hint of dry, hoppy bitterness in the finish that hints toward the style.
The mouthfeel is pretty relaxed and kinda cloying after a lively look and start. This stuff really mellows out fast.
Overall, a total trainwreck. I wish I could get behind 603, since I live in NH and all...but I just can't.

Not great. Pretty bland and one note. It's clear despite being called a NEIPA.

Can from Winooski Beverage, VT.
Poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a ruddy hazed orange paper/woody color with a belt of white foamy head softly dissipating at a moderate lace.
The aroma has a really nice orange pulpy sweetness to it. A light grassy to lemony subtle backing came in underneath.
The flavor definitely yields to the pulp sweetness of the orange. It got a little sticky sweet and pulpy in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about light bodied, maybe just a little bit above. Good carbonation and ABV. Very pulpy sweet in the finish with a touch of stickiness but not cloying.
Overall, I always love to see breweries from New Hampshire coming to Vermont. Welcome aboard, 603, hope you stay and this is quite a solid beer.

12 oz can bought at B&H convenience store rt 111 Derry NH ( new plaza) dated Sept 4, 2018
Never seen it before. I've had many 603 brews which many are decent
Now my session comparison are Lord Hobo - hobo life, Notch - left of the dial, Everyday IPA and Firestone Easy Jack
All session IPA's
Look: Slight hazy golden color with good head that dies to a thin persistent lace
Smell: Malt with with citrus aroma some other flora hops
taste: Good malt flavor and slight sweetness finish. hops are present but about right for 4.5 abv. not overlay hopped but enough to make it an IPA not a pale ale.
Feel. Good medium mouth feel - not weak as one would expect from a 4.5 abv
Overall: - Pound-able very enjoyable session IPA. Less hops than Hobo Life but very enjoyable. It's a real keeper with almost perfect balance.

12oz can from Bert's
Slightly hazy light golden color with a decent sized frothy white head that persists. Lemony citrus with a bready malt to back it up, light tartness seems a touch out of place. Decent easy to drink beer.
