Poured into a glass mug, the appearance was a beautiful looking dark brown color. An eggshell white colored thin cap of a head sat above and slid off at a good pace. Light concave lace graced the sides of the glass.
The aroma had dark and milk chocolate layers of sweet and bitterness weave through some light tones of blackberry and earthy to semi-floral whiffs. Some roasty coffee tones.
The flavor was mildly sweet with a luring bitterness but mostly kept its distance. Bitter coffee tones. Lean aftertaste of coffee beans, dark chocolate and dark toast.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair in between quality of being sipping and sessionable. Good carbonation and some stickiness. Mildly finishes with some dark chocolate and milk chocolate with some coffee bean roast.
Overall, I'd say a very nice brown ale with coffee flavors, I'd definitely welcome again and especially this time of year.

From the 16 oz. can dated 30 Jan 2019. Sampled on March 2, 2019.
This is a coffee brown ale. The appearance is what it should be with a deep dark brown appearance and a modest, fading tan colored head.
The coffee notes jump forward in the aroma before the sweet caramel and toffee malts usually associated with a Brown. But they are there. Some floral.
The body is light to medium.
The coffee beans play up bigger in the taste that the sweetness of the malt but both are present. Mild to low bitter finale. Not too bad.
