Just cracked a can from 2019 in 2026. Effectively zero head to be formed. Dark as ink. Aroma is pleasant dark roast. Flavor is similar with that ever so slight sweet that accompanies these pure non-adjunct RIS. Very little alcohol detected. This aged entirely in my fridge for ~7yrs and aged incredibly well.

From the 16 oz. can dated 1/27/20. Sampled on Feb 28, 2020.
Near jet black pour with modest and fading tan head. Some lacing.
The aroma is mostly chocolate roasted malts at first and a dark bread and biscuit note. Maybe a hint of coffee but more like chocolate milk.
Medium, smooth mouthfeel.
The taste is at first sweet and chocolate but there is a biting boozy note that creeps up at the end warming the insides. I also get a kind of black cherry thing but that is not in the aroma. Neither was the alcohol.

Poured into a 16oz Deciduous Snulip glass canned on 12/12/19. Pours a very dark near pitch black with a finger plus sticky light brown head that leaves thin streaks of lace yielding excellent retention as it slowly settles into a thin film of khaki bubbles. 4.5
Smell is French toast, coffee grounds, cocoa nibs, vanilla, and maybe some hazelnut. 4.5
Taste follows cinnamon, vanilla, hazelnut upfront with coffee and chocolate coming in the really balanced and satisfying finish. 4.5
Mouthfeel is bigger than average, gentle carbonation and kind of creamy, actually not overly dry, and at 6.3% it drinks closer to 7.5% for me and extremely drinkable. 4.75
Overall this is a really tasty stout, I highly recommend. 4.5

Inky black with a stingy tan head that dissipates almost instantly. Rich roast and chocolate with a touch of alcohol some earthy hops and light fruitiness to round it out nicely. I like it.
