This stout is a tribute to my time as a farm kitty in Kentucky and my adventures as a first mate in the Caribbean. It began in the finest bourbon barrels, slumbering for 18 months, then rested in rum barrels for another 12. The result? Rich, complex flavors that tell the tale of my early years. Picked up this 0.5l bottle for $18 a few months back. Diving in while laxing out in The 'Zebo....

Pours jet black, oily and opaque. A hard pour only brought forth a bit of light tan foam around the edges, with minimal lace. Aroma has dark choco, raisins, prunes and bourbon/rum action. Body is a solid medium-plus, and it's exceedingly smooth on the tongue.

Flavor mostly mimics the nose.... dark choco, cocoa powder, more dark fruit, some molasses... then in the background is a smidge of bourbon and a tad more of rum. This goes down much too easily for a 15 9% ABV brew. Damn tasty! Cheers!!
