SO i just finished pouring almost the entire can of their pale down the drain, and I wasn't going to have this, but now might as well get this out of the fridge and see if it will join it's friend. Again no date on the can.
Lighter fizzy creamy head rises up then fades at a med pace, little lacing, same color as the "pale" very dark auburn mahogany brown almost iced-tea color, not pale at all.
Nose has something that at least reminisces of an IPA, well more of an English pale, and not very good, some grassy herbal hops, touch of pine and spicy, plenty of sweet sticky malts, caramel malt, and syrupy malt extract.
Taste eeeew, again what the hell?! Iced tea out front, herbal tea, leafy vegetal thing, very spicy herbal mossy English hops with a lot of bitterness, definitely an English old style IPA but nothing that tells me that, and poorly executed. Syrupy malt extract and caramel mushy malts, long astringent bitter finish.
Mouth is syrupy, lighter carb, big astringent ripping the water molecules out of my mouth bitter tannic thing.
Overall another drain pour, not sure how these guys expect to be successful in today's beer market.

Darker IPA--deep amber, nearly brown color. Mild haze. Lasting head that leaves two solid rings and spots in between for lace.
Floral, as in lavender and perhaps rosemary (not a flower), with a little bit of white pepper.
Remarkably dry with a strong, straight forward hop pellet like bitterness. I get a touch of yeast in the swallow and aftertaste. Otherwise, the it's predominantly black pepper from the hop. Good body for the style with an elevated carbonation level.
