Bottle #86 750ml corked and caged bottle cellared a year prior to opening. It appears black in color with a dark khaki head.
This smells roasty and vinous with oaky earthen and leathery qualities.
It tastes bitter with char, bakers chocolate, leather and a dry vinous and oaky to citrus aftertaste. There is a hop feel to this mingled with minerals.
This is medium to light in body with modest carbonation. A pleasant experience to try all 3 barrel varieties that were released last year but none of them wow'd me to the point of wanting to have them again.
