Poured from a 375ml bottle (no freshness date, but 2015 vintage) into a Teku 2.0 glass.
A - Leaving the minor sediment behind, it pours a clear Blood Orange hue with a quickly dissipating, effervescent head that is reminiscent of a soft drink. (4.0)
S - Aroma is comprised of Sour Cherry, Lemon citrus, Oak Tannin and musty barnyard. Simple yet on-point for the style. (4.75)
T - Tart, citrus pith is first followed by some cherry and oak. The classic musty, barnyard funk courtesy of the Brett comes in at the finish. (4.25)
M - Dances on the palate with a light body and champagne-like carbonation. The lactic acid is (per style) quite strong so those sensitive to acidic foods will find it unpleasant. (4.25)
O - Enjoying it on a hot summer day, this really hits the mark. Tart, dry and refreshing. Certainly well executed, its time to produce and limited availability (brewery only) makes it a very pricey beer. Sharing this smaller bottle format much easier to handle these low pH levels. (4.0)
