Pretty nice. You've had beers like this before, a dark stouty type coffee infused thing, but this is really light on it's feet and finishes very clean.

On tap.

A - Pitch black pour with toffee colored creamy lacing.

S - Coffee bean with dark chocolate roast and a hint of char.

T - Nice chocolate roast throughout, char, chocolate and coffee bean with light to moderate bitterness on the finish. After the sip some cream pokes through the roasted bitterness.

M - Thick and creamy on the palate with a very dry finish.

O - A really nice roasty stout. Would definitely drink this beer again.

The coffee addition is absolutely flawless. It is dark, roasty, and satisfying with light bitterness and no sour or off flavors. The is nice compliment to the base stout, relatively mild and relegated to the background. I appreciate a lower abv coffee stout and this is an excellent example. Enjoyed on-tap

12 ounce can in to a tulip glass.

The pour looked like a cup of black coffee, especially after the modest dark tan colored cap tapered to a lasting film. Rings of lacing formed like a wave on the glass.

There is strong roasted coffee smell, nearly charred malt, vanilla, and caramel sweets.

The vanilla peeks through the strong coffee flavor. There's more malt, and a touch of cocoa.

The body is just about medium. It's a coffee stout, after all, so a lighter body is no surprise. The oats offer support and add a touch of chew. Flavor throughout with a pleasant finish.

The can listed the abv at 6.5%. Package date was April,11,2018, consumed July 21,2018. There's no danger of coffee fade in this high octane brew.

From the 330 ml. can packaged 08 May 2018. Sampled on July 7, 2018.

It pours near jet black with a lingering and lacing leaving tan head. Opaque.

It's a coffee stout and I get coffee grinds galore in the aroma. It is also an Oatmeal Stout but I don't ,pick up that mashy oatmeal character much. Sweet. Low to no hop profile.

The body is smooth and better than medium.

Coffee grinds make up the character of the taste with a bitter sweetness like one gets from coffee.

There is a coffee grinds character in the taste with a modest sweetness. Earthy hop bitterness. People who like Coffee Stouts should appreciate it. Some sweetness. This coffee is black. No cream or sugar.

L: Comes in an oily pitch black color with a big creamy tan head. Fairly long retention, with streaky lacing.

S: Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, vanilla, medium-roast nutty coffee, mocha, burnt sugar, toast.

T: Dark chocolate upfront, with some medium-roast black coffee. Coffee is medium-low in intensity, mostly intensifying the roast character. Comes across as unsweetened mocha. Toast, vanilla, caramel, and burnt raisin are also in there. Leans mostly bitter with just a touch of sweetness, and some coffee roast bitterness lingers.

F: Medium-bodied, not too heavy but with some oily creaminess. Moderately carbonated, with a lightly dry and moderately bitter finish.
