Flight at the brewery. Pours an impenetrable black wit a good dense proper stout buff head. Smells slightly sweet with chalk and good toasted notes. Taste follows slightly too sweet for a dry stout but fundamentally sound.

Had on tap at Two Roads and the pour was magnificent. Looks very similar to Guinness. Pour is opaque, dark brown in color with creamy one inch head. Taste is roasted malt and dark chocolate. Light bodied, low carbonation, very roasty. Excellent interpretation of an Irish stout. Different from Guinness in the fact that it is a bit sweeter. Nice beer.

Ok take on a dry Irish stout. Has sort of a weak “dirty sock water” coffee and roasted malt flavor. Mildly unpleasant hops become especially noticeable on the finish.

A: appears opaque and very dark brown, but if held to the light, it's crystal clear and ruby colored; 1 finger very creamy light tan head that receded to a skim cap; very nice lacing;
S: almost no aroma; what's there is black coffee;
T: very light in flavor as well, although more flavor than aroma; very weak coffee from start to finish; mild bitterness at the end;
M: light to medium bodied; light, creamy carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: a major disappointment; not nearly enough aroma or flavor and the body and carbonation were too light;

Served from a nitro pour.
Deep brown where light passes through the edge of the glass easily. Excellent blanketing lace with definitive thick rings after each sip.
Chocolate-coffee aroma. I don't get any burnt black patent malt to the nose.
The body is like the Irish dry stouts. Oddly, the "carbonation" is big bubbled. The flavor is smooth with little sugar. Again, the the burnt aspect is missing. More coffee than chocolate on the tongue. Short aftertaste.

Draft nitro at Flynn's Mansfield
Big creamy dense nitro head, forever retention, good lacing, pitch black beer
Nose typical nitro creamy, little roasty dark malt mild coffee and chocolate, pretty simple but to style
Taste again nitro creamy base, mild roasty malt and chocolate, hint coffee, mild bitterness both malts and hops little hop flavor, touch of fruity esters, mild vanilla/chocolate ice cream blend, dry finish
Mouth is med bod, creamy nitro plenty of small bubbles
Overall not bad, again simple but good to style, well done but doesn't go above
