Notes:
A WISE PERSON ONCE SAID “Nothing is done until it is overdone”. We couldn’t agree more, so we took the righteousness of our SHUGGIE and big upped the NZ hops, the malt, just plain everything.

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip.
L: Hazed golden orange pour with thick fluffy white head. Great retention/lacing.
S: Citrus. Grapefruit and tropical fruit.
T/F: A big time Singlecut juice bomb. Grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, and tropical fruit. Some sweetness with modest bitterness for balance. Juicy, fruity, and delicious. Sticky and coats the tongue.
O: Another outstanding Singlecut IPA. Delicious beer.

it’s not a bad beer, but it’s got a heaviness that makes it unappealing to drink multiple of in a row

I spent New Beer Sunday (Week 724) in a CANcerted effort to drink, review and rate a buncha SingleCut CANned beers in the furtherance of The CANQuest (tm). Sadly, my backlog was greater than the time allotted & I was cut short before my intended finish line. I am now picking up where I left off over the course of the coming week. Viva The CANQuest (tm)!
From the CAN: "Mastery knows no shortcut"; "Rulpsen says: 'Come visit our brewery!"; "'Mo' Shuggie' Soulbender IPA is made created from our brewmaster's recipe honed to perfection with an entirely original combination of NZ and Australian hops totaling 116 IBU's."; "SingleCut Beersmiths is proud to maintain the American tradition of beer locally made from craft by zealots/lunatics who believe hard work, truth, pride and passion should always come before profit."
I love hearing the Crack! as a CAN is being opened. This was CANother 16-fl. oz. Pint CAN so I was initially hesitant on the Glug, but once I saw that it was going to be murky no matter what, I let loose with a heavy-handed Glug. I was rewarded with the creation of two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with excellent retention that left nice lacing in its wake. Color was a murky, turbid Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Wow. Nose was really tropical fruity, taking me back to my youth & a roll of Tropical Fruit Life Savers. I would take one of each - mango, tangerine, papaya, coconut & guava & put them all in my mouth & savor their flavors as they slowly melted away. They (& Clove Life Savers) were my favorites, but both are no longer produced. 8=( Mouthfeel was medium, but very creamy, like a … milkshake! Ha. This really did not taste of coconut, but all of the other usual down-under suspects were there. It was quite fruity, but I was not getting the bitterness. Instead, it was like a CANfection, perhaps water ice, maybe sherbet/sorbet. That said, it was highly refreshing & eminently drinkable. Yum! Finish was semi-dry, but I still found myself wishing for more bitterness. Good stuff!

Great inbetween NE/West Coast style here. Really ripe fruits with a good pine/citrus rind backbone. On the very clean side with a sharp bite on the finish. I do prefer a bit more mouthfeel, but a good clean beer at the end of the day.

Opaque orange-yellow with a large white froth that persists as a thin blanket and clings in a coral-like fuzzy wall.
Smell is orange and ripe soft peach with some biscuit and shortbread, as well as some pricklingly spicy yeast after time.
Taste is quite peachy at first, with some orange and lemon rind after, and even strawberry! Mo' Shuggie develops a hint of bitter lettuce over time that slightly resembles sticky pine sap.
Body is moderate, with a thin carbonation and dry finish.

Can* dated 8/1/17 into pint glass. Pours a cloudy gold-orange with a thin off-white head. Initial impression is citrus/grapefruit, hints of pine, and a sweet malt backbone. Mouthfeel is mediuml as is carbonation. Finish is slightly sweet and tart. Quite enjoyable.
*Really unique tactile can - raised lettering, etc. Cool.
