THE BEAUTY OF A LAGER is it creates a clean dry brew that allows hops to shine – in this case a citrus / lemon / tropical dank mix all expressed with a soft, mildly sweet and super smooth biscuit malt canvas.

On tap at McGillicuddy’s Five Corners Essex Juncction. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a semi-burnt orange/almost copper color with a touch of transparency covering a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a moderate pace. The aroma triggered some sweet grassy to citrusy bittersweet hops evenly flowing over a nice malt backbone. The flavor pretty much copied the aroma spot on with a nice even flow from malts to hops right on into the aftertaste and riding into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt fine. Acceptable abrasiveness from the hops but doesn’t distract from lager smoothness. Overall, nicely done India Pale Lager worthy of having again.

Got it at Monkey 3 Bar in NYC on Friday, April 21, 2017, where it was served in a Tumbler glass.

A: Body is golden honey with a small off-white head that leaves behind plenty of lacing.

S: Tropical fruit - pineapple and mango - and some grassy hops.

T: Very nice - Tropical fruit, with pineapple and pine bite that lead to a decent drying bitterness at the finish.

M: Juicy, though not in an overwrought sort of way, with very low carbonation

O: Excellent stuff.

Super clean IPL with a big west coast nose of pine, dank and resin. Taste follows suit, PNW hops shine in front with a very clean malt backbone that has few fruity esters besides clean grapefruit from the hops.

Appears golden with moderate head and somewhat thick lacing that doesn't linger. Smells of stone fruit and fresh grass. Taste is same, stinger but balanced with malt. Overall, no breadiness that I've noticed with other IPLs, but crisp mouthfeel and carbonation is there. Maybe not quite what I'd consider textbook style, but crisp and tasty, albeit a bit dry.
