Had at Prime 16 in New Haven on Thursday night. In a tulip glass this beer (which is unpronounceable for me) comes out a clearish amber with some golden edges. A small head forms up and leaves some lacing.
Smell is a bit muted, but I get some fruity malts as well as some Belgian yeast. Hops are in the background which is a first for me when smelling SingleCut beers. At first this starts pretty chewy and sweet. Malts are giving off some caramel and fruit notes. Middle has a bit of fruity hoppiness, bitter. Finishes with a spicy Belgian yeast note but remains pretty subtle.
Overall this is a pretty balanced beer. It's very quiet on the hops and yeast and it's not too bad in the end. I think this is an interesting departure for SingleCut and I'm happy they are not a one trick pony.

On tap at Widow Brown's: Pours a slightly fuzzy honey gold with a half finger of head that dissipates to a collar with a trace of lacing. Aroma of citrus and stone fruit...Taste a cross of bready and citrus. Nice feel.
