Poured into a pokal, the appearance was a pale paper yellow color. Light quarter finger's worth of white foamy to bubbly head fizzled out super quick to not leave any lace.
The aroma leads with a nice sweet to sour and tart lemon juice and sour-ed wheat. Salt maintains a substantial grip to try and balance.
The flavor yields to the tartness initially but ends up bringing in a light balanced sweet and sour-ed wheaty sort of expectant bite to eat at the salt that did a substantial push to claim my taste buds. Mild aftertaste of sticky sour to tart lemon and sour-ed wheat.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fantastic sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine, not distracting to the sour content. It's quite smooth in it's flow from the lemon juicy sour element to the wheaty bite.
Overall, this is absolutely a wonderful gose very close to the traditional sense of style. If there was a touch less lemon in this, I'm close to 99% sure Southern Germans would mistake this for one of their own goses.

A: The beer is hazy pale yellow in color—too hazy to see if there is any visible carbonation. It poured with just a thin layer of white bubbles covering the surface and a minuscule collar around the edge of the glass. The head eventually completely faded away.
S: Moderate aromas of sour lemons are present in the smell.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of lemon verbena with a moderate dose of sourness.
M: It feels light-bodied and very tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This gose makes for a nice refreshing selection on a hot summer day and has some thirst quenching properties. Drinking this beer almost seems like having a sour version of a lemon Italian ice.

Softly Spoken Magic Spells is my favorite IPA. Heavy Boots of Lead is my favorite and Chrissie may be my favorite Gose.
