A: matte, jet fuel black color that looks like oil. Head is nothing more than a rich tan film
S: cola, licorice, oak, roasted malts, dark chocolate, brown sugar, and a hint of pear. Very interesting, and rich smelling
T: roasted malt, milk chocolate, and tart vinegar upfront. Caramel, oak, cola, and a little alcohol hit behind that. Finish is tart with a nice roasty malt presence. A little bit of earthy terraform, If that’s a word
M: heavy mouthfeel with high carbonation that leaves the mouth sticky
O: this is a really interesting, and nice, beer. Roasty, stouty, with just a bit of tartness. Not much funk from the Brett, but the tartness works nicely.
