Touch expensive up here in VT. Good color with a sweet smell.

Canned 7/24/18

Pours a huge frothy foamy 2 finger head that fades semi slowly, nice lacing, hazy murky tan orange color

nose explosion of citrus, tons of orange rind, citrus oils, little lemon, grapefruit, maybe even starfruit, like all citrus all over, mild tropical notes too, like hint of guava and passion fruit, mild gristy malt and wheat under

Taste mild gristy doughy malt, hops turn quickly to pine sap, resin, a touch vegetal, into mild citrus, tons of rind and orange juice with citrus oils, little lemon balm and starfruit, a touch of tropical notes but more generic tropical, a hint more oniony with that pine sap ick, mild creamy juicy malt,

Mouth is med bod, a bit creamy juicy soft, nice fizzy carb, actually over carbonated

overall mixed, some nice citrus and mild tropical but then that pine sap and mild onion notes kick in and doom the beer... I've been having a lot of trouble with Singlecut lately, all their recent IPAs seem to have Mosaic or something similar that give the onion garlic pine nasty thing going on, very unfortunate

Can dated 07/24/18 For Education Purposes into a tulip glass.

L: Pours murky white bronze, with gray agglomerated suspended solids, with 2+ fingers of frothy white head with good retention and left ringed lacing.

S: Nose is pineapple heavy with dank in tow.

T: Follows the nose, adds in some subtle citrus. Finishes with moderate bitterness, some acidity, and limited astringency.

F: Medium bodied with low-medium carbonation, tongue and lips tingle from the acidity, creamy on the tongue and swallow.

O: This one wasn't for my palate and preferences.

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Hazed golden orange pour with 2 fingers of fluffy white head. Outstanding retention/lacing.

S: Grapefruit juice... NEIPA citrus bomb.

T/F: Follows the nose. Light grains but mostly a grapefruit forward citrus hop bomb. Milder tropical fruit and tea leaf and guava. Modest bitterness... smooth and creamy mouthfeel. The finish is more bittersweet citrus.

O: Another in a long line of pretty outstanding IPA's from Singlecut. This one doesn't particularly stand out from their 'pack' but that isn't necessarily an insult. Great beer.

Canned 7-24-18

A - Dark orange colored opaque pour with creamy off white frothy lacing.

S - Citrus forward nose with passion fruit and some guava.

T - Citrus, guava, passion fruit from start to finish and ends with a lingering balanced sweet finish.

M - Medium body.

O - Decent. I'm a fan of SingleCut but this one didn't do it for me.

16 oz can poured into an imperial pint.

Hazed-out, cloudy, yeasty rusty-blonde. 1/2 finger of creamy white head.

Grapefruit, lemon meringue, pepper, guava, peach, papaya, and caramel cream.

Peach smoothie, guava, papaya, lemon meringue, and caramel cream. Traces of pink peppercorn and sweet cigar. Light dank and grapefruit juice.

Medium bodied, creamy, smooth, soft, and juicy with barely any bitterness.

Whoa! That's goddamned amazing! Everything a New England should be.

HOP HEAD alert. Late July release. Loved dark cloudy color and followed with the pungent hop aroma. Lacing gripped my glass all the way to the bottom. The citrus mix didn't over power the brew and I loved the bitterness on the back of my palette. All the criteria met for a hop-head like me. Pricey as usual BUT I have never had a Single Cut that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. I had to go back for back for another 4 pack before its gone.

Produced on 7/24/18; consumed on 8/2/18, making this one less than 10 days old.

A: Poured from the can into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is hazy apricot-golden-orange with a half-finger of whitish head on top.

S: Leafy, green, herbal hops with a touch of garlic. Plus a good amount of tropical fruit (pineapple) and citrus (grapefruit peel).

T: Pineapple juice, underripe melon, grapefruit juice and a bit of pine. Finishes with a nice bitterness to offset the more juicy characteristics.

M: Nails the feel for a NE IPA: juicy but smooth, with very low carbonation. Really feels like you're drinking some sort of orange-mango-pineapple fruit juice, not a beer.

O: Very good. Not the best I've ever had from Singlecut - and, as per usual, I paid too much for this 4-pack - but it's definitely very good.

Looks almost layered (like a black and tan)Nice creamy head which leaves dollops. Top part of Spieglau IPA glass is cloudy, opaque, deep apricot color, bottom part more lemon color, still fairly opaque. Smells like grapefruit, cherries, fresh baked biscuit. Taste is semi sweet with a hop bite followed by sweet caramel malt. Overall a tasty, solid, NEIPA.

Bought this quite a while ago as the date on the bottom of the can read 2/18 of last year (yes, I'm quite behind!). This was a typical beer from Singlecut with a nice appearance, fluffy head, and soft hops but the hallmark of this beer was the sticky, tropical fruit flavor that lasted from the aroma to the final sip...

Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was a dark gold with plenty of fluffy head that filled up the remainder of my Singlecut goblet. A good amount of lacing was left behind as I worked my way through this as the foam never quite faded away. Lots of typical citrus on the nose with some mango behind it as the taste had a good amount of the latter in it. Some crisp pine came through as this warmed up as this beer was a bit thicker than normal and quite sweet without being overpowering. Not a lot of carbonation here and the booze was spot on too, which allowed the slightly syrupy feel of this to come through.

As others alluded to on here, there wasn't much wrong with this but it didn't break any new ground at the same time. Thankfully, the fact that these guys are still a bit under the radar makes it easy to get their offerings, such as this. Worth a go once for fans of IPA's from this neck of the woods!

Consumed 3/5/18

A: Tangerine gold with some pale orange at its core - hazy and turbid with some particulate floaties - pours with a medium size off-white head but fades quickly to virtually nothing, retains a small collar

S: Fruity and juicy - ripe, juicy tangerine and orange - green, leafy and herbal hops - juicy tropical notes with some pineapple, mango, passion fruit, and guava - something akin to cherry flesh as well - basically smells like fruit punch - mild sweetness

T: Ripe tangerine and orange juice and flesh - some touches of grapefruit flesh and zest - tropical notes are not as strongly pronounced as in the aroma, but they shine, with some pineapple, melon, and mango - some green, herbal hops and a slight touch of resin - low sweetness - oats - low bitterness - finishes with more fruit

M: Medium body, smooth and chewy, on the lower side for carbonation, finish could be cleaner

O: And the man in the back said everyone attack

I've been searching for this beer for a while simply because my name is Steve. I realize the name of this beer is a reference to Ballroom Blitz, and not me, but still. Conveniently, the beer itself is very tasty. It's a fairly well-rounded NEIPA, but perhaps the oats could be dialed down a bit, as they seem to reduce the tropical fruit punch.
