Had on-tap at Champs in State College. Poured into a goblet.
L: Inky lack pour with thin brownish head. Minimal lacing.
S: Bourbon and booze... smells way boozier than it drinks. Vanilla and char.
T/F: Sweet and tart with roasted malts. Notes of chocolate and coffee. Definitely boozy with oak and vanilla... bourbon for sure and some nice barrel character. Very smooth and creamy. Surprisingly light given the booziness.
O: For a low-ABV barrel aged sweet stout... this one more than delivers. I usually prefer a bit more oomph in my barrel aged stouts, but this one was a very easy drinker (dessert) that wasn't a risk to put me out of commission in short order. Would definitely drink again.
