THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTNING! This IPA is created with new-age PNW hop varieties as well as a bit of NZ too. Soft, creamy mouthfeel with light malt support. Bright citrus, stone fruit and mild resin combine for a uniquely satisfying experience. Now this double dry-hopped variant ups the ante, mama!

16 ounce prowler into tulip glass, filled on 9/28/2019. Pours opaquely hazy bright golden/green color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, white grape, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming 7.2%, or lingering hop burn after the finish. Overall this is an amazing NEIPA. All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; great soft/silky feel, and not aggressive. Feels like Citra, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, and Moteuka. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding spot on style example.

On-tap at Barcade, Brooklyn, NY
A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy light yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left a narrow collar of white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of honeydew melon and lemon peel are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of honeydew melon with notes of mangos and hints of lemon peel. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very hoppy and almost feels a little "greasy" with all of the hop oils.
Serving type: on-tap

Gold nearly clear with small white head. Decent lacing.
Stone fruit, citrus, pith and sweet malts. Slight dankness.
Bittersweet grapefruit, citrus. Pithy middle. Sweet marmalade finish. Slight bitterness builds.
Medmium-heavy mouthfeel. Softly carbonated and easy to drink.
Well crafted, flavorful and a pleasure to drink. My only gripe-way too expensive.

Canned on 4/3/18.
A - Medium to dark gold colored pour, clear, nice and vibrant. (As opposed to hazy and opaque beers for a change. Very nice.)
S - Pungent and juicy tropical fruit aroma. Nectarine, pineapple, passion fruit, vibrant and sweet on the nose.
T - Tangerine, red grapefruit, passion fruit, some peppery fruit rind, and a lingering bittersweet, pithy tropical fruit finish.
M - Medium body.
O - I love the clarity of this beer, it's refreshing to bring back the "old school" mentality with a nice clear beer. Very solid and worth seeking out.
