16oz can dated 2/11/20.

Pours cloudy yellow with an inch of white fluff. Dank and garlicky in the nose with shades of peach and mint. Light bodied with a thinnish mouthfeel. Pithy grapefruit and hard peaches on the palate. Finishes dry with lingering zesty citrus, a light bitterness, and zero malt.

Surprisingly light color, almost a little translucent, though hazy. Great citrus and herbal nose, lemon rind, focused, not lavish. Dryish palate, more carbonation than I expected (more akin to a Session, though certainly not, at 7.7 ABV); fresh, mildly bitter finish, relatively long but not especially exciting. All in all well made, not bad, not great. Given the 7.7 ABV, close to some DIPAs, this is overall a little disappointing.

Hazy, light yellow pour with almost no head retention, just a ring remains. Aromas are dank and fruity. Flavors veer in another direction with lots of citrus and pine blasting mid-sip before being well-balanced by a very lightly-sweet malt. Really tasty. Fairly smooth, medium mouthfeel, and a slightly bitter finish - all very enjoyable as expected.

Welcome back to my Happy CAN A New Singlecut Be All The Beer That It Takes To Make Me Happy On A Sunday (Week 724)?!? It is to be a CANcerted effort to drink, review and rate some beers in the furtherance of The CANQuest (tm) while also taking part in NBS. As always, thoughts & opinions expressed are not necessarily my own. Stamp help out!

From the CAN: "Rulpsen says: 'Come visit our brewery!"; "SingleCut Beersmiths is proud to maintain the American tradition of beer locally made from craft by zealots/lunatics who believe hard work, truth, pride and passion should always come before profit."; "DoubleDry-Hopped IIPA"; "77 IBU"

I love hearing the Crack! as a CAN's vent is broken open! I used to enjoy following it up with an inverted Glug, but the current 16-fl oz serving size trend has put the kibosh to it. Instead, I went with a slow, C-Line Glug that still managed to produce two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with very good retention, leaving massive lacing in its wake. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose smelled strongly of tropical fruits like mango, papaya & guava, but with a cool, minty overlay. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium. I really liked the interplay of the hops in terms of its taste. Instead of being yet another tropical fruit salad, it really shone with a cool mintiness that kept the sweetness in check. I had this on draft at one point, but I do not remember it being quite this tasty. In fact, it was quite quaffable as easily half of it disappeared without a second thought. Finish was cool & dry, a throwback to a decade or so ago. Yum!

M: Medium bodied, bitter
O: A very good IIPA, the dry hop adds a lot, I’d love to know which

Murky medium gold beer, opaque under two fingers of white foam... Confusingly enough, the can says IIPA but their website says IPA, and successive instagram posts flip-flop between IPA and IIPA, as well - ah, how the style lines blur - even the brewers don't know...

Anyways, this 7.7% abv beer has tropical fruit aromas with a mild dankness... The flavors bring a tropical surge suggestive of maybe mango and/or papaya, but then a more orchard-like, stone fruit element asserts itself, bringing peach, apricot, and lime to the fore... Sweetness settles down after the initial sip, and that mild bitter dank character finishes across the palate... Medium-full bodied, with something of a fleshy feel...

Really diggin' it.... 9/26/18 canning...

Canned 9/25/18, reviewed 10/7/18

Look- opaque golden brown with white chunks that mostly settle slowly, but some remain suspended; 1 finger off white head and rings of lacing

Aroma- dank weed, candied citrus

Taste- dank weed, sweet candied grapefruit and orange, a touch of pine, and a hint of bitterness

Feel- medium bodied, soft, pillowy feel and lingering sweet and slightly bitter finish

Overall- good tasting IPA with a nice nose, but not the best looking beer

16 oz. Can, 11 Days Fresh

A: Pours a hazed thick yellow. One finger of white bubbly head. Small retention with nice lacing.

S: Dank. Mango aroma. Other stone fruits. Weedy/peppery. Rind. A little tang. Different.

T/M: Bitter hops. Citrus and other sweeter hop flavors. Fruity. Pretty smooth. Has a distinct weedy/peppery/rind flavor overall. Dank. Has a slightly dry bitter aftertaste with a linger of that same distinct taste.

O: My first brew from SingleCut. Impressive so far. I like the distinct dank/weedy flavor.

Cheers!!

can (09/25/20180 to wine glass. comparing to Single Cut DDH Push Push Struggle.

LOOK: hazy dark yellow. medium to full white head with excellent legs and retention. creamy look.
AROMA: subdued citrus, wet grass. light earthy smells.
TASTE: grapefruit, ash, pineapple. Grassy-Tea. Sounds better than it is. Not that this is bad, just a little less tasty and refreshing than I feel like it should be. Single Cut DDH Push Push Struggle was a step above.
FEEL: smooth and creamy. light to medium body,

Quality brew.

Poured into a 16 oz Great Divide Snulip glass canned on 9/26/18. Pours like a perfect 3 quarters OJ and quarter pineapple juice with a big 2 finger sticky white head that covers the sides of the glass with webby lace.

Smell is papaya, tangerine, ripe mellon, and a nice hit of white grapefruit rind.

Taste follows tropical as it gets, really stands out and I have had a bunch of greats today and this one is as good as the Doppleganger from Treehouse I had earlier.

Mouthfeel is a big medium, soft on the palate, sticky from all the dry hopping, and actually drinks bigger than 7.7% ABV because of the massive flavor, but sneaks up on you because it is so crazy drinkable.

Overall this is just impressive, I can’t really say enough about this gem, Whammy!

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Cloudy glass'o'juice pour with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Nice lacing.

S: Tropical and fruity... smells like a pineapple/orange/grapefruit juice medley.

T/F: Sweet tropical fruits and bitter citrus/grapefruit hops. An all around NEIPA juice bomb... stone fruit, light peppercorn, and mango. Thick and sticky on the tongue... medium bodied. ABV hidden but you start to feel it after a bit.

O: An absolutely delicious IPA. One to seek out.

i had no idea these guys made so many beers, just browsing their page here is impressive! i wasnt able to visit the brewery unfortunately when i was in the city, but i was able to score some cans of this one, new to me, and essentially a double ipa despite the marginal abv, its so darn hoppy its insane, one of the least balanced and most assertive of the hoppy beers i have had from singlecut so far. its hazy and yellow, thick like honey, and with a head that rises high in the plastic water cup from my step above budget hotel room, sometimes there just isnt any other vessel to drink the beer from, i switched back to the can after a small pour. it smells awesome, thats the part i like the best, sticky dank weedy hops for sure, honey and hash oil, pineapple and papaya, and a sort of concentrated hoppiness like the shatter or dust some brewers are using. its all a bit too much in the flavor, feels almost sure to set off an allergic reaction or something, its intense even though its not overly bitter, its definitely at or over the saturation point of hops in a beer, not harsh or anything, but too much in a different way. there isnt much grain flavor here but i do get some body. whammy is a good name for this one, hops are all i can taste long after i am done with the can, its good, its even great, but its too much of a good thing, and that never sits well with me. enjoyable for me only in small doses, but that is more subjective than objective...

A: The beer is cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of stone fruits are preset in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of stone fruits along with notes of papayas and hints of citrus. No bitterness is present.
M: It feels medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this IPA has a nice mix of stone fruit, tropical fruit and citrus.

Tall can...5/29/18...just over a week in the can

Pour w/ a NEIPA kinda haze, leaving delicate webs and spots of lacing.

Dank and pungent, I get a wave of ripe pineapple on the sniff.

Loaded with oranges, more pineapple and general ripe citric goodness, dank herbal dankness and general Singlecut kinda deliciousness....we worth giving this new one a try....more fine brew from SCB....go get some
