a very tasty and very hazy big ipa here, hearty, like a one and done almost because of how filling it is, its about as much of everything as can be packed into a glass, and while it may look and feel just a little less cleaned up and refined than a few of the others in similar styles here, its incredible beer, unique as they go too, and just massively dry hopped. super dense looking, pale and eggshell in the glass, nice head from the tap, bursting nose of sliced citrus, white wheat malt, and lupulin intensity. the flavor is a blast off too, really immediately hoppy even before it hits my lips, mango and passion fruit notes but then moving fast to robust grapefruit and tangerine, its a lot, and it happens quick, but it also has a nice oily linger on the swallow, and a little greenness coming back up. i wish it was a little lighter, a little less body and weight to it, and even a little lower alcohol, the flavors are awesome and i want to spend more time with them, but the abrasive size of the beer kind of pushes me in another direction after drinking some of this. its really a fine line between awesomely robust and slightly overdone, not sure where this falls really. a great showcase of whatever hops these are, this is exactly how you dry hop to high heaven, but the base beer is bigger than i think it need to be. still, i like that all the hoppy stuff in here was different from what everyone else seems to be doing with these beers...

I think this ranks as one of SCs best. Wonderfully smooth, with great mouthfeel and textbook NE haze. SC brews always do aroma incredibly well, better than most of the stand-in-line options, and this is no exception. HUGE pineapple/apricot/citrus with similar taste profile, melded perfectly with malt that is soft and present but not sweet/cloying. I love this beer.
