Dark brown color with light passing by the edge. Small beige head but it leaves no lacing.

Smooth milk chocolate smell. The vanilla is subtle compared to the cocoa, but it's solidly present.

The taste is nearly identical as the smell. The chocolate flavor may be slightly more semisweet. There's a strong alcohol presence, particularly in the swallow. Perhaps even more vanilla than expected. Rich, almost oily presence; lower carbonation. The finish has a bit of a brandy sweetness behind the chocolate.

Im sampling a 16 oz can of this beer at cellar temp and poured into my snifter. Im guessing it is the correct variant as the can says 11% and not the 11.2% listed for the regular version.
Ive had the beer in my cellar for about 6 to 8 months.
The beer pours a dark cola brown color, with no light escaping the glass. A fizzy tan head foams up 1 cm and fades away to only the thinnest of edge layers quickly after my pour.
The aroma is some dark cacao notes and roasted malt, with almost a charred note or burnt coffee. Not very sweet anywhere and I dont get any vanilla presence. Also no booziness nor hop presence, seems like a straightforward OG imperial stout, which I like.
The first sip reveals a medium body and very fine tingly carbonation. Texture is pretty smooth and the beer drinks easy, probably dangerously easy for 11%.
the flavor is lots of roasted malt and some dark chocolate, and then some more roasted notes and a bit of dark chocolate. no sweet milk chocolate here and I dont get vanilla or other common sweeter imperial stout character. The hops are absent and ABV is hidden.
This beer is simple straightforward and enjoyable. I like it for what it is, but do wish the body were a little thicker.
Glad to have tried this one.

Pours a jet black with a mocha colored creamy head, like really creamy. Smell cocoa, vanilla, mild ethanol, some faint char.Taste some cola, much vanilla, chocolate, caramel. Feels silky smooth, mildly viscous, almost creamy.Medium body finishes almost semi dry. Overall a delicious imperial stout, albeit very expensive. When stouts get loaded with real vanilla the price goes way up. Overall a world class example. One would never know this was a big bruiser at 11%

Thanks to CanConPhilly for this one, from NBS BIF #9. 16oz can that was just a little over half-full. Seemed like there was some leakage in the box, but this can opened with a sharp crack. Poured into 12oz tulip. Poured a solid black color, with just a light ring of brown head that left light lacing.

The aroma was that of a solid ImpStout; nice grains, some roast, some sweetness. Same on the tongue, with a touch of vanilla, and a slightly bitter finish.

The body was as expected, full and smooth, and there was a sticky finish. Drinkability was fine, no issues. Overall, a pretty pleasant beer, would try again, and if I do, I will update this review.
