Drank from a one pint can purchased at Fort Point Market, Boston, MA
Canned on 5/15/19
Served in a teku

Hazy, dull straw yellow appearance. The nearly opaque body was topped by a fluffy, finger-tall, bright white crown that quickly fell to a medium collar. A few tiny streaks of lacing trickled along the glass.

The aroma was really interesting. Super hoppy and bright. Passionfruit notes came through big time. A dank, cannabis-like quality was also quite apparent. Bit of fresh cut grass too. As the beer warmed, the dankness really intensified.

The flavor was similar to the nose but not quite as unique. Really fruity and bright. Passionfruit again came to mind. Big juicy citrus notes. Orange and clementine perhaps. Tart, wheaty and lemony in the center. Pineapple was noticeable as well. Grapefruit appeared on the back end. More lemon too. The beer finished with a nice mix of tart lemon, juicy grapefruit flesh and some pithy, bitter grapefruit rind.

Excellent frothy, fluffy mouthfeel. Medium bodied for the style. Super smooth and supple on the palate. The liquid contained a fine, fairly zippy effervescence that fluffed up really nicely.

Being a particularly big fan of passionfruit and cannabis notes in my hoppy beers, this double IPA was definitely right up my alley. I have been saying for a while now that SingleCut make the best shelfie New England-style IPAs available in New England, and beers like this reaffirm my belief.
