Hazy, raspberry pink color. Thin to no head. Aroma of grapefruit and hibiscus. Some hoppy bitterness with slightly tart notes in taste. An interesting one.

Notes via stream of consciousness: This is a hibiscus IPA which is interesting. The hibiscus should lend it some acidity, but will it be tart? It's only 5.6% ABV which isn't really an IPA to me unless it's super hoppy, and there's lactose in there as well. I've built a head on it as best I could by pouring it roughly in stages but it's still dropped down to nothing, signaling that it is a sour beer. The head was pinkish and the body is a hazy deep pink that's headed towards becoming purple. The aroma is fruity with berries and citrus, and a little bit of hop resin. On to the taste... it's not nearly as tart as I thought it would be, and what's there may be coming simply from hibiscus. It's odd that it doesn't keep a head then, particularly as it contains lactose. Lactose isn't that sweet but it does add body, and I can certainly tell it's there. I normally don't like lactose but it doesn't bother me here. The berry-like fruitiness is great, and there's some apple and pear there as well as a touch of tangerine. It's sweetish but balanced by the acidity and whatever bitterness is there. It comes off as almost-a-fruit-juice that's refreshing and satiating. In the mouth it's medium in body with a little bit of a dextrinous side, and smooth with a fine-bubbled moderate to median carbonation level. That at least partially explains the limited head retention. Overall I quite enjoy this although I definitely don't see it as an IPA.

Opaque dark red pink body. Light pink head that falls like a soda and leaves zero lacing. Abut of floral and dirt nose with some sweet malt and grape must. Taste is clean hop with fine vinous backdrop. Feel is a bit seltzer like.

I tried a can of this beer at Seek-No-Further Cidery in Granville, Ohio. It poured a raspberry hue with fizzy thin dissipating white head that did not leave any lacing. The scent had hibiscus and mellow tart fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bold hibiscus and subtle sour fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a good beer.....if you like hibiscus.

Pours pink-ish. I wondered what I had bought, not knowing it was hibiscus, but the flower flavoring is really subdued. The citrus hops are more dominant. It drinks very smooth, balanced and flavorful. I was not disappointed by my surprise.
