Y’alright? We think you will be with this authentic English bitter brewed with all English ingredients. The original “session” ale (it’s history dates back 200 years!), a perfect mating of soft English malt proving a biscuit/cracker/mild toffee base combines with English hops that provide a tea-like blend of herbal Earl Grey, florals and delightfully earthy tones. At 4.2% it’s made for times with mates or at home watching footie. Who’s shout is it this round?

Light and delightful. Nutty, brownish malt, bitter floral/herbal hops. Hops protrude a tad on the finish. I'd take a case of this to drink as I watch American football since the British do get one thing right with their sessionable beers.

On tap at the Jeffrey, NYC.
Pours a surprisingly turbid, beige and orange color. A thumb length creamy head, evidence of the nitro, retains really well; lots of lacing throughout. Nice looking brew, but is it to style? Is hazy English Bitter/ESB the next trend?
The aroma yields pleasant sweet tones that represent a great balance of malt and hops. Fruity and floral hops evoke notes of peach, apricot and tangerine along with a touch of herbs. The malt aromas evoke dry biscuit and toast. There is a light buttery touch (diacetyl), however, it feels acceptable.
The nitro tap yields a nice creamy mouthfeel along with low carbonation. Doughy and biscuity malt flavors yield a sweet, jammy and lightly sticky feel. A gentle bitterness slowly increases throughout, grassy and earthy, intensifying, yet easy going. Well hopped overall with lots of fruity and floral flavors including notes of peach, apricot, tangerine and orange marmalade. Despite the low ABV, the body feels medium to full. The finish, short at first, becomes increasingly bitter.
Well balanced and quite tasty. This was a real treat! Hope to see more U.S. microbreweries putting out English styles.
