Come On, Rip It Up! with our Summer crusher SuperGroup Collab with Philly's own Low Cut Connie! We teamed up with these bonafide Rock Stars to brew something made for the intensity, heat, and energy of an LCC show - an easy drinking and uber quenching Blonde Ale, brewed with rice to keep it light and dry and spiked with a hint of lime and fresh rhubarb. Clean, crisp, poundable, and an ode to the spirit of live music. In honor of Pride Month, 10% of proceeds from this beer will benefit the Audre Lorde Project in NYC and the Colours Organization in Philly.

Hazy yellow color. Big, white head. Lime, herbs, and malt in the aroma. Strong herbal bitterness in dry taste. A bit too much lime for me, but still drinkable.

Brought forth from a tap head in a clear pint glass in venerable Fergie’s Pub, Philadelphia. There's very little head, but that's the traditional pour in this city. The beer is a very bright and almost clear amber. The aroma isn't far removed from most commercial mass-produced lagers, save for a little hoppier. Unfortunately, the first thing noticed is the thin body, but this certainly isn't striving to be a hazy or a stout. So, no major demerits there. The lime inclusion is subtle, as it need be. There's not much more to describe about the taste, unless one is familiar with the specifics of rhubarb. It's a lightly limed mild lager, no more, nor less. No surprise, the little bit of head was short-lived and there's no glass lacing. Low Cut Connie is a very talented and entertaining local band, probably worthy of national recognition. No one should feel uncomfortable about being Gay. The contributions here are commendable. For what this strives to be, the gestalt makes this a decent beer drinking experience.
