Double Dry Hopped West Coast IPA
THESE HOPS ARE YOUR HOPS, THESE HOPS ARE MY HOPS as we tip our hats to some musicians and brewers who came before us. Brewed with some exciting new US bred hop buds we’re very excited about, and a considerable amount of flaked corn, FOLK! is all about blending tradition and boldness. Bright, tangy aroma and flavor of sweetened ruby red grapefruit, rosemary peaches, juicy nectarine, fresh marmalade, and a long off-dry linger of toasty malt and citrus peel. There’s just a hint of malt sweet under that clean and clear citrus, but the finish is dry, crisp, and hollering for another pint. From Brooklyn to Bakersfield, this IPA was made for you and me.

A: The beer is hazy amber yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a layer of bubbles covering the surface, a narrow collar around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of tangerine citrus are present in the nose along with hints of caramel and toasted malts.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the malty flavors are a bit stronger and there are also notes of peaches and orange citrus. The hops contribute a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and somewhat crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that this beer had a solid malty backbone compared to other West Coast IPAs. It's not an English IPA but it's also not a hop bomb.
