It's a typical adjunct lager and/or light American Pale Ale looking pour to empty the contents of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug. Maybe it's a little darker amber colored than the commercial brews, but it brings the same modest head and glass lacing. The aroma is a little more piney and bitter than almost all of them. So, even before tasting, this is assuredly a Pale Ale. It tastes OK, but certainly not outstanding. To taste, it's really not much of a step up from an American adjunct lager. Mildly more hoppy and less sweet, nonetheless, the body is about the same, decent. It's a great cause to donate to, but to consistently pay craft brew prices for something only marginally better than commercial beers wouldn't make sense. Get one for the cause, but you probably won't want to come back for more.
