On tap at the Strand. Ordered this after a decent Southern Tier Wheat Ale and a mediocre Bronx summer ale. Served in a mason jar, not my favorite vehicle so a bit hard to judge appearance.
Aroma was sweet with faint german-malt. Had a lager nose which was sharp and right for a, well, lager.
Taste was crisp and true to the aroma, apparently this is hopped with juniper berries and I did sense a bit of that spicy bite towards the end. Finished very clean and dry, and quite easy to drink.
Mouthfeel was clean and for the malt in this beer, pleasingly on the light side.
Another very solid well-made beer from SingleCut.

This beer was made specifically for Strand in Astoria, which wonderful for two Astoria establishments to work together.
It comes in a clear amber color.
The flavor has an amber lager taste with resin earthy bitterness. Huge herbal bitterness. From the website, apparently Juniper Berries help give it that flavor.
It's quite flavorful for a lager, which I really do appreciate because that bitter dry deep finish is not something you usually get. The bitter finish really does stand out and I generally don't get that flavor outside of Sixpont Resin. However, as with their basic lager, they still don't have it completely down. Lagering can be hard, though this is still a quality brew.
