Raspberry: lightest of the bunch but the raspberry kick is there. Comparable to the well-known offering from Dark Horse Brewing Co.

(1/4) Go figure the one we liked the most is rated lowest. Light black with a maroonish tint on the edge, thin tan ring. Smells roasted: tons of malt, some coffee grounds, dark chocolate, and earth with a touch of raspberry jam. Taste is pretty much the same, raspberry is stronger than in smell, malt really thrives in hitting style expectations, some hints of roasted nuts in there too. Feel is heavily roasted, chewy, but light.

3/17/19 (Chicago): $6.27 w/ tax (bought as four pack variety from Vas Formost 12/3) canned 11/6/18 poured into snifter. Black pour, creamy tan head leaves light bubbly lacing upon dissipation. Nice malt, chocolate and raspberry aroma, sweet. Taste mirrors aroma, cocoa sharp, raspberry blends well. Texture light, carbonation holds well, easy drinking, a little chalky mouth feel. Overall very good pour, looking forward to trying the remaining variants.

Pours a shiny black color, completely opaque. Thin one and a half finger tan head dissipates steadily leaving a thin layer of velvety foam along the whole of the beer.
Aroma is sweet and jammy. Notes of sweet/tart raspberry, some light cocoa and roasts malts on the nose.
Taste follows the nose with some roasty malts, a mildly sweet jammy raspberry flavor and some charred notes. Bit of cocoa and some earthy hops come through as the beer warms.
Feel is light and drinkable, albeit somewhat rough. Moderately carbonated.
Overall a nice variant from the GodDamn Pigeon Porter series. The chocolate/raspberry variant is better than the plain raspberry, but this one is solid in its own right.

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Batch #548, had 4/13/17.
Pours a mostly opaque, dark brown, with a short head and some loose, soapy lacing. The smell is light roast malts, raspberries, some chocolate, light molasses, a little smoke. Tastes of malt- not as roasted, chocolate, raspberries, some caramel, light vanilla. A little bitterness underneath. Smooth, a good medium body, well carbonated.
A typically well made Pigeon Porter- good flavor, well balanced, an easy drinker. Worth a purchase.

Raspberry added to a decent beer of God Damn Pidgeon Porter but this was too sweet for my taste. I like God Damn Pidgeon Porter but not this variant.
