(4/4) Appearance is like the others, brownish black with a thin tan ring. More chocolate on the nose than the others, roasted malt, earth, and a hint of roasted nuts. Taste is exactly as nose predicted, finishes sweeter than others but balances well enough. Feel is thinner than others though, seeming almost watery by the finish, though earthiness and roast still preside.

3/19/19 (Chicago): $6.27 w/ tax (bought as four pack variety from Vas Formost 12/3) canned 11/6/18 poured into snifter. Black pour, creamy tan head leaves light bubbly lacing upon dissipation. Fudge and chocolate aroma predominant, backed by malt. Taste mirrors aroma, malt and fudge backed by chocolate. Texture light, carbonation holds well, easy drinking. Overall very good pour.

Pours pitch black but very shiny. Thin one finger tan head dissipates but not completely. A thin layer of velvety foam remains on top of the beer.
Aroma has notes of chocolate, cocoa powder, lactose, and some roasted malts that come out more as the beer warms.
Taste follows the nose with notes of sweet cocoa, chocolate, lactose . As the beer warms you get more of the roasted malts, and some light piney hops on the back end. Pretty sweet overall - its kind of like a chocolate milkshake.
Feel is moderately bodied. Smooth and drinkable. Light fizzy carbonation.
Overall its a nice beer - whether its too sweet or not is really going to come down to your palate threshold. For me, it was pretty sweet, and had trouble finishing the whole can, but its still a tasty beer.

16 oz can from variety pack poured into snifter
A: Dark brown, thin off-white head around edge
S: Roasty, nutty, fudge, brownie, bitter chocolate, cocoa, toffee, English yeast dark fruity character
T: Brownie, roasty, nutty, dark fruit from yeast, coffee, baker's chocolate, cacao nibs, hot cocoa, light bitterness, chocolate tootsie pop, caramel
M: Medium, perfect for porter
O: Noticeably more cocoa/chocolate character than the base. Luckily not too sweet. Very good for the style and the alcohol is completely hidden

A - Deep chocolate color with average sized, smooth, creamy, cafe-au-lait color head. Minimal retention.
S - Huge fudge aroma. Smells like chocolate fudge brownies. Hints of more earthy/baker's chocolate but that is outweighed by the sweet chocolate.
T - Also big fudge flavor. It also tastes like a sweet triple-chocolate brownie. Not cloyingly sweet, thankfully, but it seems more sweet than it really is because I'm thinking of brownies.
M - Medium body with low carbonation. Full, chewy feel.
D - A great dessert beer that is surprisingly easy to drink. Not cloying or overly sweet but the flavors just immediately took me to dessert.
Notes: On tap. Interesting and tasty dessert beer. Definitely taste fudge, but other than that there is not much else. I enjoyed sipping on it, but it is a bit of a one note dessert drink.
