Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 1 pt 6 oz bottle on September 18, 2016. Look is light amber gold blend with a white head and some lingering lacing. Smell is sweet citrus and tropical fruits with pale and caramel malt aromas. Taste is a reflection of the smell with the addition of some dry hop flavors. Feel is medium in body with a smooth creamy finish. Recommended.

Networking is for Weiners is a surprisingly clear beverine with a bright golden hue. You could read a book through the body, if so inclined. A pure white head rises to a finger on the pour with a surface of the moon look. The foam eventually settles to a skimming across the surface. Patchy lacework slowly slides back into the body. She's purty.
The nose is highly fruity. The hop profile is big on the orange and apricot while the passion fruit adds a tropical and sweet twist. There's an herbal kicker there on the backend, a little rainforest-y as a matter of fact. A big ol' whiff even gets me a touch of soft spice. The malt profile leans mostly toward pale but there is a light caramel drizzle. Smells good.
The flavor profile runs the line the nose set down. It's spicy hoppy off the bat, with the soft tropicals popping up mid palate through the finish. The passion fruit isn't at all overly sweet, or muddled like I was afraid of. The fruit addition compliments the hop profile instead of overtaking the drink. The pale malt profile, with a drizzle of sweetness, keeps this beer's balance in a good place.
For a heavy hitter such as this the mouthfeel is near perfect. The body weighs in at moderate with a carbonation enough to keep things moving. It's effervescent and fairly dry even though it presents the a juicy finish. The bitterness is minimal but there is a noticeable amount on the swallow. This beer could be drank until I fell asleep.
I remember the mango version being better than the passion fruit version but I think of this version as being more approachable. It really is a delicious beer. The fruit is a compliment to an already delicious beer. What keeps it held in such high esteem is the drinkability and mouthfeel. It all works like a charm.

A killer beer and, for my tastes, superior to many of the Pipeworks fruited IPAs. Darker orange hue than expected, big bubbles, moderate lacing. Huge aroma that's pretty complex - not a simple citrus bomb. Lots of herbal notes ... cactus / aloe, eucalyptus, general crushed tropical foliage, with a bit of over ripe citrus mixed in. Dank doesn't mean a whole lot, but I'd call it dank. Flavor shifts far more tropical with the addition of passion fruit and you have this laser like direct acidity in the middle to finish that I associate with eating fresh passion fruit - it hits the back of your throat and carries through to the brain stem.
All told, one of the better DIPAs in the Chicagoland area.

A very good beer and pretty well balanced with a tasty hop profile. On the dry side, but overall enjoyable.
