5/23/26 - (Home) (Chicago, Illinois) Can Notes: $13.23 with tax 12 oz six pack canned 2/26/26 @ 8:19:26 AM. 4.0% ABV Spite Light IPA. Brewed with Brewers Malt, Citra and Simcoe Hops, and American Ale Yeast. Brewed + Canned at Spiteful Brewing 2024 West Balmoral Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.
Appearance: 12 oz can, 3/4 primary pour yields an unfiltered yellow golden straw base, mild sustained carbonation, bright white head leaves soapy lacing and a creamy cover over the base, thicker than most beers. 4.5
Aroma: Nice strong grapefruit, pine, citrus and tangerine. All blend well, A Peppermill Fruit Basket! 4.5
Taste: Same flavors, a perhaps dialed down from 11 (Aroma) to 9-10 (Taste) in strength. Grapefruit and tangerine / tropical take over, citrus and pine persistent but secondary. 4.25
Mouthfeel: Drinks pillowy, strength meets or perhaps feels a bit stronger than the 4% likely due to the strong taste and aroma. Leans sweet, but at an expected level with the Citra and Simcoe hops. Gentle carbonation, grapefruit takes the gold at the wire. 4.5
Overall: This exceeded my high expectations for a Spiteful beer. Great taste, less filling, bursting with flavors. Another great beer from Spiteful! 4.5
