6/30/24 - Spiteful Taproom - $8 16 oz, 5.5% ABV. Amber Lager . Taproom notes: Our tribute to the rich brewing traditions of Austria with a symphony of biscuit maltiness balanced by a gentle hop finish. Our Vienna Lager is here to add a touch of Vienna's charm to your day.
Appearance: Clear amber bronze draft pour into a nonic glass. Egg white head leaves razor thin generous lacing and a cover over most of the base. Minimal carbonation. 3.75
Aroma: Faint caramel aroma, hard pulling but what I manage is OK. 3.0
Taste: Caramel and toffee strong and pleasant. Not much beyond, but digging this. 4.0
Mouthfeel. Balanced between hops and the sweet flavors. Light to mild body, gentle carbonation, drinks light and easy, under the ABV. Caramel finish, lingers nicely. 3.75
Overall: This is a solid offering. Not very familiar with this style, but matches the style description, is balanced and enjoying the flavor. Nice easy beer for this cool Summer weekend. 3.75
