An English brown ale with a balance of sweetness and bitterness, featuring malty notes of toasted nuts and biscuits and a touch of hop bitterness from East Kent Golding hops.

Dark reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is toffee and citrus. Taste is toffee and caramel with a strong hoppy finish. The hops somewhat overwhelm the other flavors. Body is medium-light. Not a bad brown. I think a lot of people would like it, but it would be better if they had dialed down the hops.

I had this on draft 10/23/25 @ the Hopleaf.
Mostly opaque dark brown / orange appearance.
Small khaki head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lacing remained.
Roasted almond, burnt leaves & faint caramel notes in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Brown sugar, mineral water & fall leaf flavors.
This had flavors I look for in a brown ale, but for some reason felt a bit 'off'. Maybe try it at the source?
