5/11/26 - (Spiteful Brewing Brewery) (Chicago, Illinois) Brewery Notes: $8 plus tax list, but comped with their toast program. Nonic glass 16 oz draft pour, 5% ABV. Mexican Style Lager. Brewed with yellow corn for a light body and a touch of sweetness that keeps it balanced and endlessly drinkable. Smooth all the way through and built for sun soaked days. Effort not required
Appearance: Unfiltered golden slightly beige pour, bright creamy white head and generous thin lacing that slowly floats back to the creamy ring around the rim. Thin cover over the base, Light at first to a trickle sustained carbonation. 3.5
Aroma: Light aroma, corn, caramel, cracker and pepper. Like what I’m gathering. 3.75
Taste: Fuller taste, corn cracker, salt and pepper. Classic Mexican lager flavors. 3.75
Mouthfeel: Gentle carbonation, drinks light and easy, watery light body. Balanced, lightly sweet, cracker corn start to finish. 3.5
Overall: This is as advertised. A classic Mexican lager, corn, cracker, light and easy. Not my typical order, but I try all Spiteful beers, and glad I got to add to Beer Advocate, and had the chance to try this one. 3.75
