Murky dark orange hue. Lovely.
Off-white head; strong lace.
Huge pineapple & tangerine nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Tangerine & pineapple flavor blast up front, with a hint of smoked raspberries (?!). Almost no bitterness, but a hint of tartness. Stunning.
Quaffable, unique & delicious.

Notes from 08/09/13 – FW snifter glass
Big thanks to Pidzik12 for the Spiteful Brewing hookup!
A: Pours a cloudy caramel colored body with orange tones and some chunky sediment floating about. Nice thick khaki froth sits atop with great persistence. Sticky webbed lacing decorates the glass all the way throughout the drink.
S: Smells fruity, pungent, and tropical. I get some spicy papaya, tangerine, grapefruit, and passion fruit. Really nice and fruity nose with a dash of herbal skunk mixed in.
T: Wow! What a nice tropical fruit bomb. Juicy with more grapefruit, guava, and passion fruit blended in. There are some piney undertones with a nice trailer of skunky herbs. The beer has an upper level of biting bitterness and just a peek of alcohol coming through in flavor. No real defined malt character, just some dry sugary bits and maybe a hint of caramel. This is all about the hops and showcases the galaxy quite nicely. Perhaps a little unrefined much like a tasty tasty homebrew. Me likey.
M: Mouthfeel is moderate with a decent creamy consistency and touch drying on the finish. Overall a little watery with a high bitterness and long resinous stick across the palate.
D: A real nice hop forward IPA. Very tropical with the Galaxy really shining through. A little muddled at times and perhaps unbalanced by the hops but one I thoroughly enjoyed. The instigator is starting some shit!
Stoked on the chance to have this one.

Batch #49. Pours a sunset orange color with a finger length head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice ring of lacing. Lots of carbonation coming off the glass. Smells of grapefruit, passionfruit, lots of pine, a cat piss note, lemons, a sweet breadiness note too. Taste starts with lots of galaxy hop notes. Pine and passionfruit up front along with some grapefruit. Then the middle brings just a tiny bit of breadiness and sweetness to play along with the hop qualities. The finish gets more abrasive, as the resinous pine and cat piss qualities do come out from the simcoe, along with more passionfruit, grapefruit, grass, and lemon. Just a tiny bit more of a toasted breadiness and sweetness from the malt emerge on the finish. Bitterness lingers, but not in a bad way. Medium body with a sticky and oily mouthfeel. Very interesting combination of hops that go well with one another. This is a pretty solid IPA.
