Consumed at the brewery tasting room, April 20th, 2014.
Color is dark, very clear brown with deep ,maroon/purplish highlights. Wispy head that disappears quickly.
Aroma is sweet plums and raisins. Vanilla.
Flavor is similar to smell with bitterness to finish everything up at the end.
Mouthfeel is thin and still. More carbonation is needed; the beer is a bit too sweet to be so still in the mouth. Borderline cloying.
Not a smashing success.
