May 30th, 2015 - The Take Off Trippel is a bruiser, with a strong smell that perfumes the whole of our table. On it are grains and sweet cereals, like corn puffs, with sweet grilled corn. But the nuance is a little lost courtesy of a nearby cigarette smoker who doesn't give a damn about much besides their nicotine fix. The palate is mellow, with a similarly mellow flavor and a light apple crispness. There's a deeper marshmallow sweetness at the heart of the brew too, with s'mores and, surprisingly, watermelon in the aftertaste.
