September 21st, 2015 - From pale ales to stouts and even to the lighter fare, Rip Current is always on point. More than most other breweries they seem capable of tackling any style with a high minimum of skill. The Honey Cream Ale is more evidence that their lighter beers might even be superior to the higher ABV and tougher stuff. A light blonde in color, it has a subtle haze, and the smell gently appeals to the nose with banana, strawberries and the unmistakable smell of Captain Crunch cereal. Lighter bodied on the tongue, it has a nice carbonation, with a dry and light body, and more of the grain bill dappled with Captain Crunch.
